Description Brian Kunz was a student at Kent State University; he came to Kent State in 1967 and studied psychology and sociology. In this oral history, he describes his life on campus prior to the shootings. He provides a detailed account of the events he witnessed in downtown Kent, Ohio, on the evening of Friday, May 1, 1970. He also discusses what he saw on May 2 at the ROTC building fire and goes on to relate his eyewitness account of the events of May 4 and the shootings on campus.
